La Antigua de Guatemala

is a city in the central highlands of Guatemala famous for its well-preserved Spanish Baroque influenced architecture as well as a number of spectacular ruins of colonial churches.

Be-aware of over paying for tours or shuttles from some tour agents in La Antigua.

"Cajeros" Cash Machines only except Visa and maybe closed by 8pm. Maximum is Q2000.00 maybe a charge. We used B5 Cajeros as we found them in many places and best rate.

Volcán de Agua, looking over central park. The volcano is within 5 to 10 km (3.1 to 6.2 mi) of the city of Antigua. At 3,760 m (12,340 ft), Agua Volcano towers more than 3,500 m (11,500 ft) above the Pacific coastal plain
