The highlight of my 3 month travels, of Central America, Colombia and Peru. Was my time in Rovira Colombia. I stayed with the family of my Colombian friend who lives in England.

The family is very large and they made me feel very welcome. Rovira is a town located in a valley, that has a feel of a village. The local people are very friendly and I was the only tourist in town at the time.

Granada was founded in 1524. A colorful colonial city, fantastic for taking photos.

As with all colonial city's in Central America, Granada is built around its main square "Parque Central". That represents the city's social hub.

From Managua airport you can take the Paxeos mini bus for $15 US. You will need to email and confirm with in 24 hours of your flight arrival. Email your flight details, number of passengers and luggage to reseras@paxeos.com You may have to wait at the airport, but they will give you a time!

There are many children in Central Park and along Calzada Street begging. Granada has a good network of Charity's that can feed poor children unlike the rest of Nicaragua. But the children prefer not to go to school and to work on the streets. They would like to drink Coca Cola and eat hamburgers like the tourists, instead of healthy food from home or at the charity centers. Working on the street they are introduced to drugs and sniffing glue. It can be hard when you see there faces, but you will need to be responsible and show strong love and give them nothing apart from telling them they need to go to school for a better life.

Bolbeach Guesthouse Run by the Boris Novacic and family, has been open for 5 years and is still being extended/upgraded. All building work is done in the winter. It's a gem of a place to stay. Between the east beach of Dominican Monastery and Zlatni Rat . Boris is Croatian and has studied in Germany. Boris has backpacked across Croatia and met his wife to be 12 years ago who owned the property. They now have a daughter. The garden is organic, there is oranges, pomegranates and olives. Public bus: From airport to Split town. Bus number 37 you can get on the bus, if you go to the main road outside the airport parking lot, the bus leaves every 20 minutes. Costs 16 kuna in one direction

First stop Split. At the Bell tower Hostel Poljana Grgura Ninskog 1, Split, for the first 2 nights and 5 nights on Brac island. At the Bolbeach Guesthouse Domovinskog rata 56., Island of Brac, Croatia21420.

When we arrived in Split, a kind local man walked us to where Bell Tower Hostel was meant to be. It was private apartments no sign or name of Bell Tower or any hostel. There was tourists staying here and when we knocked on the door which was open and walked in to find someone, the guy asked us the name of the place we was staying and made a phone call from a list of numbers. A girl arrived and she took us outside the old city to a place to stay!

The place had 4 beds, air-con, and was clean. There was not enough hot water to shower 4 people in a row.
It was centered between the old city and beach.

There was a bar/cafe opposite our apartment.

Split is also gateway to the islands of Hvar, Brac and Vis, and an excellent entry point to start exploring the Dalmatian coast.

A lot of the site is under a Perspex cover and work continues on the buildings. Only 2 rooms was open to view! Was very disappointing not to see more. See Trip Advisor first before deciding to go! Hopefully will be fully open next year, should be amazing to see.

The site did not open until 2.30 pm. Car parking was 1 Euro, 5 Euros entrance, under 15 years free. We drove from Taormina Over 2 hours, taking the A18 to Catania then the A19 towards Enna and the SS117b driving though Plazza Armerina. Flowing the signs to Villa Romana del Casale first the signs are in blue then brown and yellow!!!!

Travelling to Sicily with my daughter for 5 days. Staying in Palermo.

I had not herd about the Mafia museum. Until I visit Palermo. We took the bus to Corleone from Palermo. Is about 1 & 1/2 hours.

The museum is very interesting and with a very good guide who explains everything.

She says many tourists, know about the Mafia from Hollywood and think the Godfather was filmed in Corleone. The town is good to walk. There is a Tourist information in the plaza opposite the bus stop. They will give you a map. Corleone Is a beautiful town and is nice to sit in the plaza in the evening and watch the world go by. I found the locals are friendly. Most people only visit for a day.

Traveling for 2 weeks. With Jodie my 12 year old daughter.

First week on the beautiful island of Formentra. We stayed in the Hostel La Savina. Not your typical package holiday. We included adventure. These 2 islands are a great place to explore. Formentera is quit flat and easy to hire a bicycle or walk and explore the island and it’s fantastic beaches.

If you are looking for nightlife in Formentra, then visit Es Pujols. Many bars and you will find Spanish tourists having fun.

Only ½ hour from Ibiza Town by ferry.

Viñales one of my favorite places to stay. With the feel of a great community and always made to feel welcome. Good place to relax and to make base for a visit to Cayo Jutias and María la Gorda. There are plenty of casa particulars to choose from no need to book. And only 2 hours from Havana.

The Viñales Valley a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in Pinar del Río province where mogotes, hills with rounded tops and steep slopes, contrast harmoniously with the flat surface of the valley. Can be found just a short walk from Viñales main street

Semuc Champey "one of mother natures paradises" I started and booked the tour from the town of Coban about a 2 1/2 hour drive. Semuc Champey which means "Where the river hides under the earth." Is a natural limestone bridge, under which passes the Cahabon River. On top the bridge is a series of 6 stepped natural turquoise pools.

A view from the lookout "El Mirador" after climbing the trail above Semuc Champey and gazing down upon the series of 6 cascading turquoise pools, deep in the jungle. Underneath the pools, runs the underwater Cahabon River. The pool's water is feed by the rainwater that trickles down the small creeks from either side of the valley and not by the Cahabon River
